Immingham tide gauge site
The tide gauge building is located on the East side of the entrance to Immingham Docks with the measuring system mounted on a leg
of the lead-in jetty.

Tide gauge location
The GRP tide gauge building contains the POL data logger and a pneumatic system with two full-tide and mid-tide bubblers.
The tide gauge is levelled to the tide gauge bench mark supported by Ordnance Survey auxiliary marks.

Site history
1976 – There is a Munro gauge located on the West lead-in jetty at the entrace to Immingham Docks
1986 – DATARING system installed with a full tide bubbler and a potentiometer on the Munro gauge
1996 – Tide gauge system moved to a new site on the East lead-in jetty - the measuring system consists of two full-tide and mid-tide bubblers
2000 – New POL data logger installed
2007 – Tide gauge building removed for site redevelopment
2007 – Temporary tide gauge cabinet installed on the lead-in jetty
